The majority of issues with the lungs and esophagus that require surgery involve cancer. Few things generate as much fear as the word “cancer”. Having gone through the loss of a loved one from cancer at a young age, Dr. Davis has great sensitivity to these issues.  He uses a multi-disciplinary approach to patient care, actively conferring with the patients’ primary care physician and colleagues in oncology, radiation therapy, pulmonary medicine and gastroenterology.

Dr. Davis believes that each case is unique and tailors care to meet the individual needs of each patient.  Prior operations have been performed with colleagues from a wide range of specialties, including obstetrics and interventional radiology. He has developed a reputation for not shying away from patients refused by other physicians and hospitals.  Despite poor predicted survival, his team approach has yielded positive results and long lasting survival.
