Most patients with heart disease have two primary concerns: Can this be fixed, and will I survive the procedure? These days most problems can be fixed successfully. Dr. Davis has trained extensively in both heart and large vessel diseases. He has combined the best of time-proven methods with cutting-edge minimally invasive techniques to put as little stress on the body as possible.
Remember the days when heart surgery meant a cracked open chest and a long scar down the leg? It doesn’t have to be that way any more. In many cases, with the robot and other minimally invasive methods, the chest can stay closed and the leg may only have two to four very small scars. This means less pain, less blood loss, quicker recovery times and shorter hospital
stays.

Those patients whose blocked arteries are accessible by minimally invasive approaches will be offered the option of a robotic assisted procedure. For this form of surgery, female patients could wear a bikini subsequently with only a dime sized scar being visible. More importantly, these patients have been known to walk around their room on the day of surgery, and walk up and down the hallway on the day after their surgery.
